Eid-Ul-Adha Recipes

Today I share Eid-ul-Adha recipe for my Muslim friends and readers. The menu is as much an integral part of Eid celebrations as the ritual and customs. It's very much an integral part of the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations. Every Muslim family takes great care to prepare the exclusive dishes on Eid-ul-Adha. The idea is to make the menu over-the-top and include food which are not regularly eaten . Most Eid-ul-Adha items are focused on the sacrificial meat of the Eid-ul-Adha ritual. Beef, of course, is the meat of choice !

  • Kheer - Rice Pudding

Ingredients:

1 cup of cooked basmati rice (long grain rice)

8 green cardamom pods crushed

2 tablespoons rose essence

2 tablespoons ground pistachio nuts

71/2 cups of whole milk

12 tablespoons sugar


Method:

The rice is to be ground finely and placed in a saucepan with the cardamoms. Add 6 3/4 cups of milk and boil over medium heat stirring continuously. Add remaining milk and cook over a medium heat until the rice mixture thickens to a creamy consistency. Add sugar and the rose water and continue to cook for another 2 minutes. Serve chilled, and garnished with nuts.


  • Biryani


Ingredients:

500 gms Basmati Rice (long grained rice).
1kg Mutton (cut into small pieces).
2 tsp. Garam Masala.(mixed spices)
6 Red chilies.
2 Dalchini (Cinnamon Sticks)
2 pieces Elaichi.(cardamom)
3 Green chilies.
7 Cashew nuts.
Onions (A handful, sliced fine and fried till crisp)
5 Lavang (Cloves)
6 Kothmir, (chopped Fresh coriander)
1 small bunch Pudina (mint leaves) chopped.
Ginger Garlic paste.
3 tsp. Saffron. (dissolved in ¾ cup milk)
Curd beaten 1 cup.
Juice of 2 Limes.
4 boiled eggs. Ghee /Oil 5 tbsp.
Salt to taste.

Method
The chillies and the cashew nuts needs to be ground into a fine paste. Mix the mutton pieces with the ginger-garlic paste and beaten curd and Keep aside. Fry the chili paste in 4 tablespoons clarified milk or oil. To this add the mutton, ¼ of the fried onion, 1tsp garam masala(mixed spices) and salt to taste. When the clarified milk separates from the mixture, add one and a half cups warm water and pressure cook till tender. Fry the whole spices in 1 tbsp. clarified milk/oil in a wide-mouthed vessel. Add the rice and fry a little, add green chilies and salt to taste and enough water for the rice to cook. When the rice is cooked, spread it on a plate and remove the spices . Make a mixture of the chopped Kothmir, mint, mixed spices and fried onion and keep aside. Smear the inside of another wide-mouthed and thick bottomed vessel with clarified milk. Spread a layer of rice in it and cover it with half the mutton. Sprinkle half of the Pudina mixture* and juice of a lime. Put a layer of rice followed by a mutton layer and finish with a final layer of rice. Sprinkle the rice with saffron milk and some clarified milk. Cover tightly and cook for twenty minutes over slow fire. Serve hot.


  • Shami Kabab

Ingredients:

½ kg minced meat without fat.
2 tbsp chana dal (split gram) washed and soaked in water for ½ hr.
2 pieces dalchini. (cinnamon)
3 cloves.
1 piece ginger.
1 tsp coriander and cumin powder.
1 tsp garam masala.(mixed spices)
10 garlic flakes.
2 elaichi. (cardamom)
1 tsp chili powder.
A pinch of pepper.
A handful of Kothmir and chopped pudina.(mint leaves)
1 egg.
Juice of ½ a lemon.
1 finely chopped onion.
Oil for frying.
Salt to taste.

Method
Wash and drain the mince. Mix the split gram , whole spices, a cup of water and salt to taste. Cook until it becomes dry. Remove from the fire and add ginger, garlic, pepper, chili powder, coriander and cumin powder and grind the mixture into a fine paste and knead into a dough. Now add the chopped mint leaves, kothmir, lime juice and salt to taste. Make lemon sized balls of the dough, flatten the balls and stuff them with a little onion mixture. Dip the stuffed kebabs in the beaten eggs and shallow fry till it is cooked.

Boiled Eggs in Tomato Sauce Recipe


Today I made Boiled Eggs in Tomato Sauce for my small family. Yes its very delicious. You can also make the recipe, its easy and simple. 


Ingredients:

4 boiled eggs
1 tbsp black pepper
salt to taste
For sauce:
1 tomato juice
chilly powder to taste
salt to taste
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
fresh coriander leaves

Method:
Shell the eggs and then remove the yolk by just cutting the top of the eggs white.
To the yolk add black pepper salt to taste and then refill the yolk back inside the white covering seal the top of it by a toothpick.
Now prepare the sauce by adding the tomato juice, chilly powder, salt and tomato ketchup and the fresh coriander leaves. Heat it in a vessel.
Then in the dish keep the eggs and add the sauce from above garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot.

Mushroom Pulao Recipe

Mushroom Pulao is famous in all India and other countries. So today i tell you how you can make Mushroom Pulao easily for your family.

Mushroom Pulao Recipe

Ingredients:


2 cup rice (chawal)
3 onion (pyaj)
200 gm mushroom
200 gm cottage cheese (paneer)
2 capsicum (shimla mirch)
5-6 cauliflower (phool gobi) pieces
4 cloves (laung)
2 cinnamon pieces (dalchini)
2 bay leaf (tej patta)
6 tbsp clarified butter (ghee)
2 tsp salt (namak)


How to make mushroom pulao :

* Soak rice for half an hour or so.
* Boil rice in a container until it gets cooked properly and water dries up.
* Finely chop onion.
* Cut paneer cubes.
* Cut cabbage into fine long pieces.
* Cut mushroom into slices.
* Heat ghee in a pan and fry paneer until light brown.
* Take them out and keep aside.
* Now fry onion in the pan until it turns pink.
* Then add laung, dalchini, tej patta and mushroom. Fry for few minutes.
* Then add shimla mirch, phool gobi, namak and paneer cubes along with little water. Cook at low flame.
* When vegetables are cooked properly, remove it from the flame.
* Serve them hot.

Today I think that i share with health benefit of celery instead of recipe. A. J. Reb Materi said that "So many people spend their health in gaining wealth, & then have to spend their wealth to regain their health". I thought that we must go for some herbs or plant therapy to gain my health without spending lots of money. So when I tried to search for some plant which can help me I came across with CELERY. 

What is Celery? Celery is one of the very common & effective plant which helps in curing various health disorders which are not easily curable. The green leaves, stem and the bulbous root of celery are all extremely rich & makes celery a very important medicinal plant. There are various health benefits derived from celery and its juice. The medical quality of celery was first described by the Greeks Discorides and Pliny. 

It contains balanced minerals, vitamins & nutrients & its oil has strong smell due to concentrations of plant hormones. The presence of the essential oils makes celery special. They are also found in the seeds & can be added to the juice also. These oils have a specific effect on the regulation of the nervous system, and have a great calming influence. Calories In Celery: 1 cup or 100 gms of celery has only 14 calories. Plant therapy tends to make the system normal. That's why we should prefer the plant therapy to cure ourselves. Moreover these plants don't have side-effects like other therapies. They affect the immune system of body naturally.
  • The strong water removing powers of celery enable it to be used in the control of health problems such as arthritis, stone, liver problems and rheumatism.
  • A tablespoonful of honey in celery juice, sipped slowly, will very effectively reduce the appetite if taken before a meal, and makes a delightful drink. It will also help in reducing their weight.
  • You can take the same mixture as a nightcap; it will help you to relax into a soothing and restful sleep. So those who have a problem of sleeplessness must enjoy the sound sleep after having this yummy health drink.
  • Those who are suffering from stones in the gall bladder or the kidney must take the juice of celery. It has been found that those who drank juice do not found any formation of stones in bladders & kidney again. It seems likely that this effect is related to the anti-arthritic properties of the juice.
  • Celery calms the nerve because of the high calcium content & helps in controlling high blood pressure. Raw celery should be eaten to reduce high blood pressure.
  • Celery is used in aromatherapy and other traditional way of healing like Ayurveda. In Japan, rheumatic patients are sometimes put on a celery only diet.
  • Moreover you can eat a lot of celery without thinking twice because it has almost zero calories. You won't add any extra pounds after having such a yummy drink or raw celery.
  • The whole plant is gently stimulating & nourishing; it also acts as a digestive remedy and liver stimulant. A tincture can be used as a diuretic in hypertension and urinary disorders.
  • Celery roots, fruits (seeds), and aerial parts, are used as ethno medically to treat mild anxiety and agitation, loss of appetite, fatigue & cough.
All we know about the Celery is quite enough for a person to start using it but the exceptions are always there. Some people had allergy of Celery so they should avoid using it. Moreover there is a belief that celery is difficult for humans to digest. The oil and large doses of seeds should be avoided during pregnancy; they can act as a uterine stimulant. Still celery is valuable in diets for various reasons & we all must include it in our diet to take precautions & cure from various health disorders. Sitaphal Rabdi Recipe

Today I share Diwali Recipe, recipe name is Sitaphal Rabdi.

Ingredients:


1 cup Sitaphal pulp
2 litres whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
4 almonds
4 green pistachios, unsalted
1/4 tsp. saffron strands
1/4 tsp. cardamom powder
1 tsp. chopped fragrant red rose petals

Method :


Crush almonds and pasta coarsely, or cut into thin slivers.
Boil milk in a clean heavy pan.
Simmer for ten minutes, after it starts boiling.
Stir occasionally while boiling.
Add sugar, stir till dissolved.
Take off fire, add saffron, cardamom, almonds, pastas.
Cool to room temperature.
Add sitaphal pulp, chill for 3-4 hours till very cold.
Put in individual serving bowls sprinkle very few chopped petals to garnish.
Serve chilled.

Paaya Nahari Recipe



Today I share with you a Hyderabadi Recipes which name is "Paaya Nahari".


Ingredients:

8 nos. Trotters
2 nos. Onions
1 tblsp Coriander seeds
1 tblsp Jeera
4 nos. Brinjals
4 nos. Dagad phool
2 pieces Cinnamon
6 nos. Cloves
6 nos. Black pepper
4 nos. Cardamoms (green)
As per taste Salt


How to make paaya nahari:

* Clean and cut the paaya into three pieces.
* Tie the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, bay leaves, dagad phool, cinnamon, cloves, pepper and cardamoms in a small muslin cloth and secure the ends to form a small pouch.
* Add enough water to the paaya and place over heat.
* Add the chopped onions and the spice pouch along with salt as per taste.
* Cook the gravy on slow fire, preferably over charcoal for 4 to 5 hours.
* Remove the spice cloth and serve. Nahari is served in the morning.
* Narhari cooked overnight on a slow fire and served for breakfast is delicious.
* Serve hot with bread or rice.

Ingredients :
2 cups beaten rice
3 cups curds
¼ tsp salt
1 green chilli
1 small piece ginger

For seasoning :
1 red chilli,
1 pinch mustard,
1 tsp ghee

Method :
Combine together curds and beaten rice.
Add crushed ginger, minced green chilli and salt to taste.
Mix well and season with the ingredients noted above.
Tender cucumber gratings can be added, if desired.
Ready to serve.

AlooPoha Recipe For Indian Breakfast



Today recipe name is "Aloo Poha". Many times I make this recipe for my family at breakfast time. You can also make this recipe. Here is a method to make Aloo Poha recipe.

Ingredients:

2 cups Poha (Beaten Rice)
1 Potatoes
1 Onions
2 Green Chillies
1 tsp Chana dal
1 tsp Urad dal
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 sprig Curry leaves
2 tsp Peanuts
4 tblsp Oil
1 pinch Turmeric powder
1 Lemon
Few Corainder leaves
Salt to taste


How to make aloo poha :

* Soak the poha in water. Wash and drain all the water.
* Add some salt , turmeric powder , keep aside.
* Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes, chop the onions, chillies, corainder leaves.
* Heat oil and put chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, peanuts, curry leaves and fry until they crackle.
* Add potatoes , saute for few minutes, then add chopped onions, chillies.
* Cook till they are done. Add the poha, corainder leaves and stir.
* Keep it on slow flame for 5- 7 minutes.
* Let it cool for sometime and add then lemon juice.

Dry Coconut Powder An Indian Cooking Recipe

Now today I tell you about Dry Coconut Powder Recipe which is mostly used by Indian.



Ingredients :


1 cup split dhalia dal (putnalu)
3/4th cup dry shredded Coconut
Red Chilli Powder according to taste
½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 cloves garlic
Salt to taste


Method :

Take the dhalia in a mixer and grind to a fine powder without any water.
Add dry coconut, chilli powder, salt and grind for about 30 seconds, now add cumin seeds and garlic.
Just grind for 10 seconds so thay every thing mix properly.
Store it in dry air tight container.

Try an attempt at baking this apple cake made of cinnamon, nutmeg and glazed with brown sugar and vanilla essence.

Ingredients:

1 cup oil
2 cup sugar
3 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp baking powder
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp cloves
1 cup baking soda
4 cups chopped apples

Glaze
2 tblsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar


How to make apple cake:

* In a bowl mix the oil, eggs and vanilla extract together.
* In a separate bowl sift the dry ingredients together and add this mixture to the oil and egg mixture and mix well.
* Add in the apples and the nuts.
* Pour this mixture in a baking pan and bake for 1.15 minutes at 350 degrees F.
* For the glaze mix all the glaze ingredients together and boil the mixture for one minute.
* When the cake is baked remove it from the oven and white it is worm pour the glaze on it.
* Apple cake is ready.



Now"APPLE CAKE" is ready to serve your family members.

I Make Badam Milk Shake Recipe For My Friends

One day my friends came to my home there was nothing to eat in my home. So I decided to make a Badam Milk Shake. Here is a method to make this recipe.



Ingredients :

3 cups of milk
1 cup of badam
1 cup of yogurt/curds
1 cup of sugar
5 cinnamon
2 cups of water

Method :

Grind cinnamon, badam, sugar all together. After put milk & curds into the mixie, grind well, along with the above powder. Put water if you do not want it served thick. Serve the chilled badam milk shake.
